Why Web 3.0
Most people who start learning about blockchain, cryptocurrencies or Web3 tend to —
Follow some Web3 people trending on twitter
Ask that friend who is always talking about crypto to send them some articles
Sporadically go down the crypto / Web3 rabbit hole in their free time
Start consuming a random assortment of videos, podcasts, blogs, twitter threads etc.
Essentially spray and pray. Or let the YouTube and Twitter algorithm pick
This is extremely inefficient. And likely ineffective.
Super Simple is what I wish existed when I went down the Web 3.0 rabbit hole.
The first 10 Super Simple Summaries alone would have saved me ~200 hours.
The Goal
To create a go-to, shareable starting point for the journey in to Web3. Particularly for those on the crypto-fence.
I have been there. I know the frustration of just not “getting it”.
Many experts in the ecosystem have put out amazing content themselves or by appearing on podcasts and YouTube channels. But it is easy to get lost. Its not clear where to start. The hours and hours of content makes it intimidating. This is where curated summaries help. All credit goes to the original creators.
The idea is to systematically level up on Web3, without getting lost in the abundant content choices, complex technical jargon and scammy investing tips.

Why Summarize Good Content
Yes, sometimes it does feel like blasphemy to boil down an enlightening 1 hour conversation in to 1000 words. But it can be very useful. In the way abridged versions help introduce new readers to good literature.
The summaries can work well as previews to make you want to consume the source content in the first place. Or save you time by helping you decide not to consume it at all.
Or the summaries can function as review and revision. Right after you have watched an informative episode, a quick read-through helps cement new concepts.
Or the summaries can be a replacement to the source content. One way or another, Super Simple will save you hours and hours of ineffective spray-and-pray content consumption.
Why Create This
While looking for similar resources, I only discovered some long unstructured lists of videos and blogs on Web 3.0. These lists felt a little like summer homework. For instance, A16Z's Crypto Canon, which is actually a great comprehensive list, particularly for those that live and breathe crypto. However, even scrolling down the list was intimidating because of its size.
There are also bulleted summaries available for a somewhat random assortment of audio-podcast episodes (podcastnotes.org). I really appreciated the quality of the summaries and the obvious editorial work behind them but personally did not find them ideal for absorbing new concepts.
Through Super Simple, I hope for you to understand new concepts at a gut level, not necessarily a technical level. I will make everything as easy to understand as possible (super simple!), as we climb a difficult learning curve together.
I hope the summaries enable the original content to reach more people, more effectively. This way I can help you the way the experts helped me on my journey.

It's a no-brainer. In the same amount of time it will take you to read the sentence you are currently reading, you could be a subscriber.
I approximated that I spent about 200 hours watching, listening and reading until the basics of Web 3 "clicked" for me. I'm slow like that. It was worth it, but it was very inefficient.
I have now spent more time than putting this together so that you hopefully don't have to do the same.
Make the most of it. Subscribe.

Did this save you time? Did the summaries help you appreciate something you just watched? Can you think about these concepts better now? Are you better at articulating them? Did Super Simple help anything "click" for you?
If you are like most people I know, all of these outcomes are potentially worth $ to you. If yes, you can show some love.
If this wasn’t worth any $ or didn’t save you time, all good! Maybe you are just exploring and learning, like I was. Just make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss out.
